My dreams finally came true. I'm finally a VIB rouge member which is the premium membership level at Sephora. So what does that mean? Well for starters I get free 3 day shipping on Sephora.com. I also get free makeovers in store at the beauty studio. As well as special invites to VIB Rouge events, private concierge and an upgraded birthday gift. Talk about feeling appreciated.

What I like most about this membership is getting access to exclusive limited edition products before anyone else. For example since two days ago was Cyber Monday, VIB Rouge members got first access, on Sunday, to new limited edition sets such as the YSL Vanity Case. I really had to fight every bone in my body to stop me from buying this set. Even though it was a good deal, there's nothing cute about being broke. 
So because I reached VIB Rouge Status, I was sent a welcome kit with my last order. I got a small red box with an all access pass to the beauty studio and a sample size of Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in the shade "so rouge." I was a little disappointed with the size of the lipstick but the packaging made up for it.

Now let's get into this lippie tho!!! In my last post I mentioned I'm a nude/pink type of girl when it comes to lip colours. I never really go for dark or bright lippies just out of preference. But I must say for the past couple of weeks I've been really into the darker shades for the fall, so you'll definitely see more of those in my future post. As for the colour red... I never in a million years thought I would wear this colour. I honestly thought it wouldn't compliment my skin tone but boy was I ever wrong. A few weeks back I was playing around with my Ruby Woo lippie from M.A.C. and to my surprise I received many compliments on it. Ever since then I've been hooked. There's just something about red lipstick that gives you more confidence in your look and makes you feel like an "it" girl.

What I love about this lippie is how it feels on my lips, the formula is very hydrating and has a creamy luxe feel. It last all day long with very few touch ups even after eating. The colour is also very pigmented and looks gorgeous on dark/deep skin tones. So, if you're like me and and afraid of red lipstick, regardless of what ASAP Rocky says, I would definitely recommend this to break out of your comfort zone. I promise you after you try it, you'll love it. 

 To be honest, I'm not sure whether I should be excited that I finally reached VIB Rouge level or terrified that I spent over $1000 on makeup this year to reach this status. Maybe it's time for a makeup intervention. But then again who am I kidding... makeup is LIFE lol.
